Volunteers
Some answer phones. Some cook meals at Emmanuel Dining Room. Some drive people to Samaritan Outreach or help with mailings. At one time or another, many sit on one or several committees formed to plan fundraising Events. These are the volunteers who make up the Ministry of Caring Guild — the volunteer arm of the Ministry of Caring. Established in 1990 as a volunteer adjunct organization committed to helping the homeless and the poor, the Guild now numbers more than 450 members. The women and men of the Ministry of Caring Guild are outstanding people who elevate what it means to be a volunteer.
